Layna Hayes is a multidisciplinary artist based in Memphis, Tennessee.

Driven by formal elements and my love of craft, my artwork embodies playful compositions of vibrant color, repetitive pattern, and recurring shapes. I work with processes such as printmaking, weaving, tufting, painting, and mixed-media collage. I am especially drawn to fibers and found materials because they allow me to explore unique realms of texture untouched by other media. I am inspired by sentimentality, childlike playfulness and humor, bold colors, and the hunt for recycled materials to use within my work.
